Butterflies and chicks

 

 Every year we hatch butterflies...this is a  project all the kids look forward to.

 We get caterpillars sent to us and have the  opportunity to  watch  them grow and then cocoon  themselves before they  turn into butterflies.

 The whole process is fascinating to watch and  the children  get to hold the butterflies before we let  them go.
